Overview
Reinstalling WordPress can fix corrupted files while keeping your content, themes, plugins, and settings.
1. Back up your website
Use one of the following:
- DirectAdmin → Create Backup
- Softaculous → Backups
- All-in-One WP Migration
2. Reinstall WordPress from wp-admin
- Go to Dashboard → Updates
- Click Reinstall Now
This only replaces core files — your content remains intact.
3. Manual reinstall (if wp-admin is broken)
Step 1 — Download WordPress
Get the latest version from wordpress.org.
Step 2 — Upload files
- Open DirectAdmin → File Manager
- Upload the .zip file
- Extract it
- Delete wp-content and wp-config.php from the new files
Step 3 — Replace core files
Copy the remaining files over your existing installation.
4. Final steps
- Clear LiteSpeed cache
- Clear browser cache
- Check that wp-admin loads correctly
