How to enable automatic backups before updates Print

Overview

Softaculous can automatically create a backup every time your CMS is updated. This keeps your site safe from broken updates.

Step 1 — Edit installation

1. Open Softaculous → Installations
2. Click Edit next to your website

Step 2 — Enable “Backup Before Upgrade”

• Enable Backup before upgrading
• Enable Plugins Auto Backup
• Enable Themes Auto Backup

Step 3 — Save

Your site will now generate a backup before every update.

Notes

• Backups use hosting storage
• Delete old backups periodically
• Recommended for WooCommerce sites
