How to Schedule Your Own Backups in JetBackup 5

You can create and manage your own automated backups in JetBackup (if enabled for your hosting plan).

Step 1 — Log in to DirectAdmin

Navigate to Advanced Features → JetBackup 5.

Step 2 — Go to “Job Backups”

Look for the option Schedules or User Backup Jobs.

Step 3 — Create a new backup schedule

Choose:

  • What to back up — Files, Databases, Emails, Full account
  • Frequency — Daily / Weekly / Monthly
  • Retention — How many restore points to keep

Recommended settings

  • Daily file + database backup
  • Weekly full account backup
  • Retention: 7–14 days

Step 4 — Save schedule

Your hosting panel will automatically generate backups based on your settings.

Note:

JetBackup uses external storage, so scheduled backups do not reduce your hosting disk quota.
