Overview
You can change the nameservers of your domain directly from the VexoWeb client area. Nameservers tell the internet where your DNS records are hosted. Changing them is often necessary when migrating your website to a different hosting platform.
Step 1 – Log in to your account
- Visit billing.vexoweb.com.
- Click Login and enter your account details.
Step 2 – Open your domain
- Go to the top menu and click Domains.
- Select the domain name you want to modify.
Step 3 – Find the Nameservers section on the domain management page, locate the section labeled' Nameservers.
Step 4 – Choose nameserver mode
- Use default nameservers – recommended when hosting with VexoWeb.
- Use custom nameservers – enter nameservers from your external host (for example, Cloudflare, another provider, or VPS).
Step 5 – Enter your new nameservers
Insert at least two nameservers:
- ns1.example.com
- ns2.example.com
Click Save to apply the changes.
DNS propagation
Nameserver changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours to propagate worldwide. This is normal.
