Overview
If your domain is registered through VexoWeb but your website is hosted on VexoWeb DirectAdmin hosting, you need to point the domain to your hosting server. This can be done using nameservers or DNS records.
Method 1: Point using nameservers (recommended)
This method automatically connects your domain to your hosting account.
Step 1 — Find your hosting nameservers
You can see them in the hosting welcome email or in the hosting service page in your client area. They usually look like:
ns1.vexoweb.com ns2.vexoweb.com
Step 2 — Update your domain
- Log in to billing.vexoweb.com.
- Go to Domains → select your domain.
- Open Nameservers.
- Select Use custom nameservers.
- Enter ns1 and ns2 from above.
- Click Save.
Propagation time
After saving, changes take 2–24 hours to propagate worldwide.
Method 2: Point using DNS records
Use this if your DNS is hosted elsewhere (e.g., Cloudflare, another provider).
Step 1 — Get your hosting IP address
In your DirectAdmin panel or hosting welcome email, you will see something like:
157.180.52.85
Step 2 — Edit A records
Add or modify the following DNS records:
example.com A 157.180.52.85 www CNAME example.com
Step 3 — Email records (optional)
If using VexoWeb email hosting, set MX records to:
Priority 10 → mail.yourserver.com
Which method should I use?
- Use nameservers if your site and email are hosted at VexoWeb.
- Use DNS records if you manage DNS elsewhere (Cloudflare, etc.).
