  • 0

Overview

WHOIS Privacy (also known as ID Protection or Domain Privacy) conceals your personal contact information from public WHOIS lookups. This protects you from spam, unsolicited emails, and data harvesting.

Step 1 – Log in to your client area

  1. Go to billing.vexoweb.com.
  2. Sign in with your email and password.

Step 2 – Open your domain

  1. Click Domains.
  2. Select the domain you want to manage.

Step 3 – Locate WHOIS Privacy / ID Protection. On the domain management page, locate the section labeled ID Protection or WHOIS Privacy.

Step 4 – Enable or turn Privacy

  • To activate: click EPrivacyrivacy (or toggle ON).
  • To deactivate: click Disable Privacy.

After enaPrivacyrivacy

Your public WHOIS data will be replaced with generic registrar-provided information, such as:

REDACTED FOR PRIVACY

Cost and availability

  • Some TLDs offer WHOIS Privacy for free.
  • Other TLDs may charge additional fees.
  • Some TLDs do not support WHOIS privacy (for example, .US and. .UK).

Important notes

  • If you don't protect your privacy, your real contact information will become public instantly.
  • If you plan to transfer your domain, it’s recommended to do so in a private setting before starting the transfer.
