Overview
If your domain registration failed, don’t worry — it usually happens because of incorrect information or a payment issue. This guide explains the most common issues and provides instructions on how to resolve them.
1. Payment failed or is incomplete
If the payment didn’t go through, the domain cannot be registered.
How to fix:
- Open the invoice from your client area.
- Click Pay Now and try a different payment method.
- Ensure your card or crypto wallet has a sufficient balance.
2. The domain was registered by someone else at the same time
This can happen if two people try to register the same name within minutes.
How to fix: Choose a different domain or try another extension.
3. Invalid WHOIS contact details
Incorrect phone numbers, fake names, incorrect country formats, or missing fields can result in rejection.
How to fix:
- Open the domain’s Contact Information page.
- Ensure all fields are accurate and populated with real data.
4. Certain TLDs have strict rules
Example:
- The UK requires a valid UK address, or one that meets the US minimum requirements. The EU requires EU residency.
- The US requires a U.S. Nexus requirement.
5.The registryy system was temporarily unavailable
Occasionally, the global registry for a TLD may be offline or rate-limited.To resolve the issue, try the following: wait a few minutes and then try again, or contact our support team.
6. Fraud detection triggered
Registries may block obvious fake data, spam activity, or mismatched contact details.
