How to point your domain to VexoWeb hosting (nameservers) Print

  • 0

Overview

To connect your domain to your hosting account, you need to update the nameservers (DNS) at your domain registrar. Once updated, your domain will load your VexoWeb-hosted website.

Step 1 – Find your nameservers

Your hosting activation email includes the correct nameservers:

ns1.vexoweb.com
ns2.vexoweb.com

Step 2 – Change nameservers at your domain registrar

If your domain is registered at VexoWeb:

  • Go to billing.vexoweb.com → Domains → Manage
  • Find Nameservers
  • Choose “Use custom nameservers”
  • Enter the VexoWeb nameservers

If your domain is registered elsewhere (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.):

  • Log in to your registrar
  • Open the DNS/Nameserver section
  • Replace their nameservers with ours

Step 3 – Wait for DNS propagation

DNS changes take between 5 minutes and 24 hours to apply globally.

Step 4 – Verify your domain

You can check propagation using:

Troubleshooting

  • If your domain still loads the old host, wait a bit more.
  • Clear your browser’s cache.
  • If the domain does not resolve, check if the nameservers were saved correctly.
