Overview

CloudLinux + ImunifyAV (or ClamAV, depending on your plan) automatically scans your hosting account for infected files, malware, or suspicious scripts.

Where to find the Virus Scanner

Log in to DirectAdmin → Extra Features → ClamAV (or ImunifyAV)

How to run a manual virus scan

  1. Open the Virus Scanner
  2. Select the location you want to scan:
    • Your home folder
    • Mail folders
    • Public website files
  3. Click Start Scan

If a virus is detected

  • Review the infected file path
  • Quarantine or delete if it’s not critical
  • For WordPress infections, reinstall the affected plugin/theme
  • Reset passwords for hosting/FTP/WordPress

How to prevent future infections

  • Update WordPress, plugins, and themes regularly
  • Use trusted plugins only
  • Avoid nulled themes/plugins
  • Enable Cloudflare security features
