CloudLinux + ImunifyAV (or ClamAV, depending on your plan) automatically scans your hosting account for infected files, malware, or suspicious scripts.
Where to find the Virus Scanner
Log in to DirectAdmin → Extra Features → ClamAV (or ImunifyAV)
How to run a manual virus scan
- Open the Virus Scanner
- Select the location you want to scan:
- Your home folder
- Mail folders
- Public website files
- Click Start Scan
If a virus is detected
- Review the infected file path
- Quarantine or delete if it’s not critical
- For WordPress infections, reinstall the affected plugin/theme
- Reset passwords for hosting/FTP/WordPress
How to prevent future infections
- Update WordPress, plugins, and themes regularly
- Use trusted plugins only
- Avoid nulled themes/plugins
- Enable Cloudflare security features
