Overview
You can upload your entire website as a ZIP file and extract it directly inside DirectAdmin using the File Manager. This is the recommended method for installing themes, plugins, or full website projects.
Step 1 – Upload your ZIP file
- Open DirectAdmin
- Go to File Manager
- Navigate to:
/domains/yourdomain.com/public_html/
- Click Upload
- Select your ZIP file
Step 2 – Extract the archive
- Select the ZIP file
- Click the Extract button
- Choose the directory where you want to extract (usually public_html)
- Confirm the extraction
Important notes
- If your ZIP file contains a folder inside another folder (e.g., public_html/site/), move the files to the root directory.
- Large archives may take several seconds to extract.
- If extraction fails → increase PHP limits or check disk space.
