How to check your resource usage (CPU, RAM, I/O) in DirectAdmin Print

  • 0

Overview

Your hosting account runs inside a secure CloudLinux environment with limits for CPU, RAM, I/O, and Processes. You can check your usage anytime.

Step 1 — Open the Resource Usage panel

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin
  2. Go to Resource Usage

Step 2 — Check current usage

You will see:

  • CPU %
  • Memory (RAM)
  • I/O (disk operations)
  • Entry Processes
  • NPROC (number of processes)

Step 3 — Check “Faults”

If you see faults, it means your site hit a limit:

  • CPU → too many visitors or slow PHP scripts
  • I/O → heavy uploads, backups, imports
  • Memory → WordPress plugins using too much RAM

Recommendations

  • Enable LiteSpeed Cache
  • Upgrade PHP version
  • Disable heavy WordPress plugins
  • Use a CDN (Cloudflare)
  • Upgrade to a larger hosting plan if limits are frequent
