Overview
Your hosting account runs inside a secure CloudLinux environment with limits for CPU, RAM, I/O, and Processes. You can check your usage anytime.
Step 1 — Open the Resource Usage panel
- Log in to DirectAdmin
- Go to Resource Usage
Step 2 — Check current usage
You will see:
- CPU %
- Memory (RAM)
- I/O (disk operations)
- Entry Processes
- NPROC (number of processes)
Step 3 — Check “Faults”
If you see faults, it means your site hit a limit:
- CPU → too many visitors or slow PHP scripts
- I/O → heavy uploads, backups, imports
- Memory → WordPress plugins using too much RAM
Recommendations
- Enable LiteSpeed Cache
- Upgrade PHP version
- Disable heavy WordPress plugins
- Use a CDN (Cloudflare)
- Upgrade to a larger hosting plan if limits are frequent
